John’s clear advice and long-term planning have put us in a great position today.
Lou
Hi. My name is Lou, this is my brother, Joe, and we’ve been a client of Broom Consultants for 20 years, and John looks after us most of the time.
Joe
We initially got in touch with John Broom through our accountant, who recommended talking to him regarding future financial planning and an exit strategy from the company.
Lou
We started earning quite a lot of money in the noughties and needed to invest it. He gave us ideas, particularly with pension plans, how to get the buildings that we owned out of the company and into a pension plan, which helped an awful lot and gave us good cash flow. He helped us with many things, wills, advice, etc. He’s been very helpful, and we’ve always trusted him. He’s always done well for us

When we first met John, he painted a picture of where we were going and how he could help us. We bought into what he said, and he made things sound very clear and simple to understand.
Lou
Whenever he’s come up with an idea or given us the next thing that we should do, he’s guided us through it seamlessly. He’s come to see us, told us what he’s going to do, and got on with it. We’ve never questioned him because we’ve always trusted him, so he’s just got on with it and done it.
Joe
I feel secure. Now we’re semi-retired, we know that the decisions we’ve made in the past, with the help of John, have provided us with the security not to have any financial worries about the future. We’re in a very good position at the moment.
John’s advice has been invaluable through some particularly difficult trading conditions over the last year or two, which has provided a bright future for the success of the company.

The three words I would use to describe John are positive, intelligent, and likeable.

The single best piece of advice that John’s given, certainly for me, is getting our assets out of the limited company and into a pension.

I’d recommend Broom, definitely for all financial planning. For the future of our business, they’ve been great, so I would recommend it to anybody.
