My name is Lorraine. I have been a client of Broom for more than 10 years now. My current adviser is Dominic. I’m here today with my fiancé, Peter, who is not a client of Broom, but he’s helping me with my financial advice.
I got made redundant from State Street, and I had a letter saying, “You need to secure your pension”. At that moment in time, I didn’t realise that the pension would be locked; I thought that it would just be left. So, I had to do something about it. I was having sleepless nights. I looked on Google to find somebody that would be able to help me. Having done a lot of due diligence, as one would, I came across Broom.
Peter
When I first met Dominic, I was impressed by the company. They were very friendly and very professional. Dominic was very warm, and I had no trouble as an outsider coming along with Lorraine and getting involved in conversations, to a point, obviously. So, I found it a nice open conversation.
Lorraine
The whole camaraderie of the company made you feel part of the team. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve got “x” amount of money; you’re still part of the company, you’re still part of the team, and we’re growing together. That really impressed me. No one ignored you, and even the stupidest questions they would answer. So yes, that’s what impressed me more than anything.
Peter
Dominic is very warm; it’s easy to speak to him and he gives clear, concise answers. He brings up things that you might not have thought about. So yes, very confident indeed.
The best piece of advice that Dominic has given was regarding Lorraine’s pensions. She was not sure what to do; she had several different pensions, and Dominic gave us advice concerning which ones we should move, which ones we should keep, and which ones we should take out and it was very helpful.

He’s very astute and on the ball and he’s protecting me and that makes me sleep well at night, because knowing Broom is there to protect me, I don’t need to worry about it.
Peter
The three words I’d use to describe Dominic are warm, friendly, and professional.

I’d recommend Broom to anyone out there who is in a situation where they don’t know what to do with their pensions, wills, mortgages, etc. They’re all friendly and warm, and they put their clients first.
